Mr. Ajay Kanoria, scion of the renowned Kanoria Family with industries operating through the length and breadth of India is an eminent person in the field business and an industrialist of repute. Mr. Kanoria, Chairman of the Kanoria Group has over 5 decades of experience in owning and managing industrial companies manufacturing sugar, cement, industrial gases, telecom equipment, pharmaceuticals and pipes.
Mr. Kanoria is known for his leadership in industry and business, being widely responsible for policy formulation and interaction with government across industries and countries.
Mr. Kanoria was the President of the Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA) and Advisor to Government of India for International Sugar negotiations under the aegis of GATT. He was deeply associated with formulating sugar policy for India for several years.
A widely respected business leader Mr. Kanoria has been a member of the governing committees of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), All India Organization of Employers (AIOE), the Cement Manufacturers Association (CMA), the Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA), and others. He was a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF), The President of ISMA, Advisor to Government of India for international Sugar Trade under the aegis of GATT and the President of the Rotary Club of Bombay.
